This controversial ad by Zara has been discussed all over the internet. People have gone insane over the "Love Your Curves" campaign that depicts two fairly slender woman, which isn't what you usually think of when you think "curvy." If Zara considers those thin ladies curvy, then what is skinny? What is plus size? Although this ad is promoting embracing your body, Zara is not showing versatile representatives of reality. Seeing unrealistic, photo shopped standards standing in for an opportunity for a different type of model is showing how 'valued' other body types are. Maybe having less than picture perfect people could allow women to project themselves onto the ad instead of feeling lesser around it.
